Hello Paul,
Another really cracking concert at Mytchett last night with the first half culminating in my long standing request for The Champ. Although I've got quite an ancient version by Jack Parnell on disc - a breakable one at that! - and a CD of Ted Heaths, on which it's also featured,there's nothing quite like hearing and seeing it played live and the band performed it brilliantly.We really enjoyed the whole night, sorry we'll miss the September Concert but we are off on a cruise again, so we'll hopefully be there in October. Hi Paul,I just wanted to say a huge thank you for your slick professionalism and excellent entertainment last night. All ages and stages loved the music and having the band just helped set the tone for a really great night which we all thoroughly enjoyed. I know it was a hot night for you all in your finery - (some people arrived and were very worried that they’d got the dress code wrong thinking it was black tie!) – I hope your guys didn’t feel too over overworked! The music you and your band played for us at Wentworth on Saturday evening was quite fantastic and very much enjoyed by everybody who attended the Ball, as I am sure that you could tell with so many people still dancing right to the end of the evening. Personally I thought the band and your two singers were superb, you make a wonderful sound and you made it a very enjoyable evening for us. As you know you play the type of music I love, that wonderful big band effect, and it made a very special evening for me. It was a great pleasure to meet you and the band. PaulWe're still on a high after Saturday night.It was a great evening. The band was outstanding - we're getting thank you's from our guests and they are all talking about the band. I got a call from someone in South Africa who couldn't come but said he'd heard that the band was fantastic! Quite a few Club members are suggesting they ask you to play at one of the Club balls, so who knows. Anyway, thanks very much for organizing everything and especially for the evening itself.
